About the role 

Our Lisbon based QA team is looking for an addition to the team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality assurance and eager to grow into an automation-focused career path. Initially, the primary responsibilities will involve manual testing, functional testing, and business requirements analysis. This role offers a clear path to transition into automation testing. As you gain experience and demonstrate proficiency in manual testing and business requirements analysis, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Learn and implement automation testing tools and frameworks. 

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts. 

• Contribute to the automation strategy and roadmap. 

Other responsibilities are: 

• Conduct manual testing to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. 

• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases. 

• Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure comprehensive test coverage. 

• Assist in the preparation of test data and environments. 

• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.  

About you 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. You have 2 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or software development and are eager to join us on our path to automated testing. Furthermore, you have: 

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. 

• Experience with manual testing and functional testing. 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Ability to efficiently communicate in English, both orally and in writing
